Watch service overview

Three clearly defined services for mechanical watches

Each service is scoped in advance so the owner understands what will happen and what the result will be before any work begins.

How the workshop approaches every job

The starting point for any service enquiry is a description of the watch and what the owner has noticed. From there, the appropriate service is discussed — either an assessment to understand the current state of the movement, or a specific service where the situation is already clear.

Work begins only after written approval. For diagnostic services, the report is issued first; for full service or recalibration, the scope and price are confirmed in writing before the movement is opened.

The workshop follows a documented process for each service type. Variations from that process — for example, replacing an unexpected worn component — require owner notification before the work proceeds.

SVC-001

Diagnostic & Condition Report

A standalone service for owners who would like an honest written assessment of their watch before committing to a full servicing. The technician opens the caseback under controlled conditions, inspects the movement under magnification, photographs key components, and produces a written report that explains the current state of the piece, the likely causes of any irregular behaviour, and the options available. No work is carried out without the owner's separate agreement. The report is the owner's to keep and may be shared with another workshop if they choose.

What is included

  • Caseback opening under controlled conditions
  • Movement inspection under magnification
  • Photographic record of key components
  • Written report — causes, state, options
  • Report is yours to keep or share

Process steps

  1. 01.Watch received and logged with owner contact details
  2. 02.Caseback opened in filtered workspace, exterior photographed
  3. 03.Movement inspected under magnification; components photographed
  4. 04.Written report prepared describing findings and options
  5. 05.Owner notified — report available for collection or discussion

Full Service — Modern Automatics

A complete servicing visit for modern automatic watches across mainstream Japanese, Swiss, and German calibres. The work includes movement disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication using calibre-appropriate oils and greases, replacement of standard wear parts such as gaskets and crown tubes where needed, regulation across several positions, and pressure testing of the case. Watches typically spend three to four weeks in the workshop. A written summary is provided describing what was carried out and the watch's measured performance at the end of the service.

What is included

  • Full movement disassembly
  • Ultrasonic cleaning of components
  • Lubrication — calibre-specific oils and greases
  • Standard wear parts replaced as needed
  • Regulation across multiple positions
  • Pressure testing after case reassembly
  • Written performance summary at collection

Process steps

  1. 01.Movement disassembled in clean environment; components catalogued
  2. 02.Ultrasonic cleaning of parts and case components
  3. 03.Lubrication applied using calibre-specified grades and quantities
  4. 04.Movement reassembled; standard wear parts replaced where due
  5. 05.Regulation across positions; rate measured and recorded
  6. 06.Case reassembled; pressure tested; written summary prepared

Complication Recalibration

A focused service for watches with chronograph, GMT, annual calendar, or moonphase complications that have started to behave inaccurately. The technician traces the issue, recalibrates the relevant subsystem, replaces small worn components from approved spares where required, and verifies the result over a multi-day observation cycle. The aim is to restore the calibrated behaviour described in the manufacturer's technical sheet, so the watch can be used confidently in everyday life. A short performance report is included with the returned piece.

Complications covered

  • Chronograph modules (start, stop, reset function)
  • GMT and dual-time mechanisms
  • Annual calendar displays
  • Moonphase indication
  • Multi-day observation verification
  • Approved spares used where needed
  • Short performance report at collection

Process steps

  1. 01.Complication behaviour documented and photographed before opening
  2. 02.Relevant subsystem isolated and inspected; fault identified
  3. 03.Worn components replaced from approved spare sources where needed
  4. 04.Recalibration against manufacturer specification
  5. 05.Multi-day observation cycle; results recorded
  6. 06.Performance report prepared; watch returned to owner

Best for: Diagnostic Report

Owners who want to understand the current state of the movement before deciding on any service. Also useful after purchasing a pre-owned piece or after an unusual event affecting the watch.

Best for: Full Service

Owners with a modern automatic that has not been serviced within the last 5–7 years, or a piece showing changes in rate or power reserve. Covers the complete overhaul sequence.

Best for: Complication Recalibration

Owners whose main timekeeping is acceptable but whose chronograph, GMT, calendar, or moonphase function is no longer behaving correctly. A focused intervention rather than a full overhaul.

Technical standards shared across all services

Filtered workspace

All movements are opened in a filtered environment. Particulate management begins at disassembly, not only during cleaning.

Photographic records

Key components are photographed at inspection. Images form part of the condition report or service summary provided to the owner.

Approved spare sources

Parts used in service work are sourced from authorised supply channels where available. Any deviation requires owner notification before proceeding.

Owner data handling

Contact information is used only for the specific service engagement. Data handling follows Thailand PDPA requirements. No information is shared with third parties.

Measured performance

The rate and performance of the movement is measured after service work. The result is included in the written summary and verifiable by the owner at collection.

Explicit approval at each stage

Work proceeds in stages, each requiring owner confirmation. Unexpected findings during service are communicated before any further work is undertaken.

Service pricing in Thai Baht

All prices are confirmed before work proceeds. Payment is collected at collection, after the service is complete.
